New York illustrator Samia Kallidis designed Chloe's Magic Box with 45 children in a homeless shelter in the bronx in mind. Chloe's Magic Box is an art kit that includes a written and illustrated colouring book and art supplies.

Bu! "Indian"

I have fallen in love with this amazing peek-a-boo blanket by Swedish design company Little Red Stuga! The special edition print was designed by Little Fine Day blogger and artist Elisabeth Dunker.

The blanket acts as a comforter and as a dressing-up garment encouraging imagination and interaction.

I love this original idea - from the naive graphic red Indian design, to the peep holes, to the fact the blanket is round rather than rectangular or square. I can't wait to see more!

Bellio Booties

A few months ago I was lucky enough to meet Swedish brand Bellio at children's trade fair Kleine Fabriek in Amsterdam.

Bellio design brightly coloured kid's slippers made from organic leather. The slippers feature a range of feisty and imaginative appliqué motifs including yellow submarines and nautical anchors.

Bellio were also kind enough to let me choose a pair to take home with me. (Thank you again!) I picked the star design below but in an orange and cream colour combination. I'm saving them to give as a gift but it's going to be tough to part with them!

Mounties

Mounties are handmade artisan slippers crafted in the mountains of southern Poland. I saw these beautiful slippers on a stand at Broadway Market in Hackney. They are available in kids and adult sizes! Definitely getting myself a pair!

Deuz: Mini Maracas

I first spotted French brand Deuz at this year's February edition of children's trade fair Playtime Paris.

 

I was really impressed with it's collection of design-led products for babies and children, particularly Mini Maracas - a set of 3 coloured wood rattles. Each rattle has a different sound and is hand made using natural wood, lacquered with vegetable dyes. Definitely one to watch.
